Our role in SharePoint (MOSS) 2007 projects spans information design, business process review and recommendation, as well as actual implementation of SharePoint portals and team site collections. We help develop effective, collaborative intra- and extra-net sites and work with internal IT departments to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing support.

Information Design is the art and science of organizing content so it can be used efficiently and effectively. We start by looking at your messaging and reviewing the categories and sub-categories of information. We establish a "network of content," determining levels of information and interdependencies across levels of information. This results in a detailed Functional Specification that fully describes the communication, including a visual representation of how users will interact with it and what feedback we might expect.

In Visual Design, we establish a "look and feel" for the project that is memorable, accessible, and easy-to-use. By maintaining design consistency with imagery, typography, color palette and graphic treatments, our designs present your essential information without distraction. We work within the constraints of the SharePoint environment ensuring ongoing ease of maintenance.

Implementation is where it all happens. We develop Master Page Templates and customize themes and CSS to implement the Portals and Team Sites. We work with internal staff to develop User Manuals for both end users and site administrators to ensure an active environment that is owned by end users.
Whether it's new design, extending the scope of features or administrative help desk functions, we provide ongoing support to ensure that your SharePoint investment continues to keep pace with organizational needs.

Some of the tangible artifacts from SharePoint projects include Master Page Templates and Custom Style Sheets. In addition, we can provide custom User Documentation to ensure that all stakeholders in the project, including content contributors and administrators, are trained and able to maintain the site.
